Why this app exists
A healthy model shows you normal anatomy. Never the pathology.
In hands-on PoCUS training, trainees learn to find the standard views on a healthy volunteer. That is exactly where the gap is: the moment they find the view, there is nothing abnormal to recognise. This hub closes the gap. While the normal image is live on the scanner, the instructor shows the same view with real pathology — side by side, in the same minute.
How to use it
- Before the session. Trainees should already have practised the acoustic windows. Open the collections you plan to use and tap Save for offline — ideally the day before, so the clips play without wifi.
- The trainee finds the view. Subcostal, anterior lung, perihepatic — on the healthy model, with the normal image on the scanner.
- You show the pathology. Open the matching collection and hold your device next to the scanner. Each collection starts from a focused question, such as Can pneumothorax be confirmed or excluded?
- Let them interpret first. Findings stay hidden until you tap Show findings. Ask: What structures do you see? How does this compare to the normal image? What might it suggest clinically?
- Cases. Read the case description aloud, work through the clips together, and reveal the solution at the end.
Tip: Add the hub to your home screen — on iPad or iPhone, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. It then opens full screen like an app.

Feedback
This hub is built to keep changing with the courses it is used on. Tell us which clips work, which ones confuse, and what is missing — it decides what we add and replace next. You can also send feedback on a single clip from the flag button in the player.
Privacy
We count how the hub is used — which collections and clips are opened, whether findings are revealed, and whether collections are saved for offline — so we can improve the teaching material. It is anonymous: no account, no cookies, no identifier stored on your device and no IP addresses. A visit id lives in the browser's memory only and is gone when you close the tab, so you cannot be recognised on your next visit. If you send feedback, we store your message and, only if you write it, your email.
